The Words of Power

Women who fear the words of power expend a lot of energy biting their tongues.

In Gathering Moss ~ Robin Kimmerer wrote,

“The names we give rocks and other beings depends on our perspective, whether we are speaking from the inside or the outside of the circle. The name on our lips reveals the knowledge we have of each other, hence the sweet secret names we have for the ones we love. The names we give ourselves are a powerful form of self-determination, of declaring ourselves sovereign territory.”

I'm sitting with this today, this week, this year, this lifetime~ the act of naming is a declaration of the words of power, magick in the making, manifestation, creation, birth.

This is what it is to be WITCH. Shapeshifting each moment through naming. Announcing meaning and depth to be present inside of events current, past and even future weaves magicks into them, imbuing divine power to heal, to strengthen, to summon the soul’s purpose and calling in any and all lifetimes.

The words of power are always first the secret syllables we speak to ourselves. They are the naming words, the words of intent, the words that split and shatter the tight bindings at our wrists and the ropes shoved into our mouths. They are the words that call out the dark and dis-spell the predator of weaponry.

WITCH is the byword, the trialword, the mystery sitting on the ground, hidden out in the open for any woman to recognize in the strange yet delicious moment of ripeness.

The words of power are the naming stones, the basalt markers that demarcate the edges, the boundary points, the lines of liminal spaces where the light opens its throat and the speech is understood.

WITCH is She Who Knows this.

She is one who has listened for the words of power in the middle of her fear, the middle of the crisis, the middle of her life, and has given herself a true name anyway, rebirthing herself.
